2018

Stem cells & cancer stem cells - regenerative medicine and cancer"

June 11-13, 2018, Orleans, France

Rapid development of stem cell research, tissue-engineering, material sciences and our understanding of cancer biology, particularly within the cancer stem cell-area, provide strong foundation for the development of regenerative medicine. On the other hand, the recognition of cancer as the diseases of stem cells allows for reciprocal knowledge flow between stem cell biology, regenerative medicine and cancer biology. Our goal is therefore to bring together researchers that develop new biomaterials, novel manufacturing techniques like electrospin, 3D-printing together with medical professionals, scientists specialized in (cancer) stem cells and regenerative medicine, in order to foster cross-flow of information and the development of new ideas that would facilitate quantum leap in regenerative medicine and cancer treatment.
